Oil extraction up 2%, gas extraction down 0.1% in Russia in past 9 months

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) – Oil and gas condensate extraction was up 2% in Russia in January-September 2016 to 406.718 million tonnes, demonstrating a 2% year-on-year growth, according to the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel Energy Complex.

Exports of Russian resources to countries outside the former Soviet Union grew by 6.1% year-on-year to 174.225 million tonnes in January-September 2016.

Natural gas extraction declined by 0.1% year-on-year to 449.301 billion cubic meters.

One extra day in February 2016 should be taken into consideration in the analysis of this data.
