Charlie Kirk event stormed by Left-wing protesters
A Charlie Kirk event at a university campus descended into chaos on Monday after it was stormed by Left-wing protesters.
Violent clashes broke out at the University of California, Berkeley, during the last stop of Turning Point USA’s American Comeback Tour, which Kirk had just begun when he was shot dead in September.
Footage shows a violent brawl breaking out on the street between a protester and a Kirk supporter dressed in a red “freedom” T-shirt who was left with blood gushing from his nose.
During the scuffle, masked figures attempted to help the anti-Kirk protester escape but were thwarted by officers.
Turning Point USA (TPUSA) leaders blamed the violence on Antifa activists, claiming demonstrators had tried to break through police barricades as the campus event got under way on Monday evening.
“Right now at our Turning Point USA campus tour stop at UC Berkeley… Antifa is breaking through police barricades and threatening our event attendees,” Mikey McCoy, the TPUSA chief of staff, said on X.
The post was accompanied by pictures of demonstrators holding signs and standing behind an upside down police barrier. Reports that protesters were “breaking through” could not be verified.
At least two people were arrested, including one for battery, before the event got under way, police told The New York Post.
The event was held two months after Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist and Turning Point founder, was shot through the neck by a sniper’s bullet fired from a nearby rooftop at Utah Valley University.
Tyler Robinson was arrested for the killing days later and had allegedly left behind bullets engraved with anti-fascist messages, including: “Hey fascist! Catch!”
Separate footage from the California event showed hundreds of people, some wearing Maga hats, gathered in an auditorium raising posters of Kirk, who was a leading figure among young American conservatives.
During the talk, hosted by actor Rob Schneider and Christian author Dr Frank Turek, demonstrators chanted loudly outside while police clad in riot gear formed a barricade to block them from approaching.

“Despite Antifa thugs blocking our campus tour stop with tear gas, fireworks, and glass bottles, we had a packed house in the heart of deep blue UC Berkeley,” Andrew Kolvet, the TPUSA spokesman, wrote on X.
Schneider ironically thanked “Antifa for welcoming us tonight at UC Berkeley”. “We Look forward to our thoughtful, tear gas-free discussion and debate,” he said.
