Two officers shot in Inglewood, California, suspect wielding a sword critically wounded

WASHINGTON (SBG) — One person is critically injured after police say the suspect entered the Church of Scientology in Inglewood, California wielding a sword.

The individual was potentially carrying a gun when they entered the church, KTLA reports. The station also says the suspect was an Asian male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, according to police. Two officers were injured on the scene.

KABC-TV reports one officer was shot in the arm while the other officer was shot in the hand. The suspect was shot by police responding to the situation. City News Service says police initially reported the suspect was dead but have since said he was critically wounded.
