Polk County mother discovers explicit video of teenage son with 43-year-old family friend
POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Polk County mother recently confronted one of a parent’s worst nightmares: a sexually explicit video of her teenage son and a 43-year-old woman.
She discovered the video on her son’s phone in December and immediately recognized the woman as Marie Ibarra, a friend of the family.

Investigators would later discover multiple videos on the teen’s phone that included Ibarra and clearly showed her face. The victim also confirmed that he was the male in the video and told police he and Ibarra had engaged in sexual intercourse, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.
Police said the earliest video was from Dec. 4 at around 11:34 p.m. The victim was 16 at the time.
“This is a complete betrayal of trust. This woman was a family acquaintance who chose to exploit a child she knew,” Sheriff Grady Judd said. “She knew better, and she did it anyway. Now she’s going to face the consequences.”
When detectives spoke to Ibarra, she admitted to knowing why they wanted to talk to her, but refused to discuss the alleged abuse.

She was charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a second-degree felony, and booked into the Polk County Jail early Tuesday morning.
Ibarra had her first court appearance later on Tuesday, during which the judge set her bond at $15,000. The conditions placed on her release included prohibiting contact with the alleged victim and the possession of firearms or ammunition.
