Police say man trespassed into Ocasio-Cortez’s office

The man sprayed a fire extinguisher while officers arrived creating a “cloud condition,” said New York Police Department spokesman George Tsourovakas.

He added that when the cloud dissipated, the man was seen holding a broken bottle. He then entered a utility closet but exited after officers persuaded him to do so, according to Tsourovakas.

The man was then taken into police custody, Tsourovakas said, adding that charges against the man are pending.

A police source told The Hill that Ocasio-Cortez was not in the Queens office at the time of the break in.
