Police Investigating Random Act Of Violence In Downtown Windsor Saturday Morning

Windsor Police is investigating a random act of violence in the downtown area.

Police say that just after 11:00am on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, officers were called to the area of Park Street West and Pelissier Street regarding a person who appeared to have been assaulted.

They say that through investigation, it was learned that the victim approached the suspect, who appeared to be in distress at the time. The suspect responded by seriously assaulting the victim, followed by fleeing the scene on the victim’s bicycle, which has since been recovered by police.

The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30-35 years of age, with dark brown hair and beard, shirtless, wearing dark pants and white shoes and carrying a black drawstring backpack with a large Nike logo on the back.
