STOCKTON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The woman who spent time in prison after livestreaming a fatal crash with her sister near Los Banos in 2017 was killed in Stockton, California, on Tuesday, deputies confirmed to Nexstar’s KSEE/KGPE.
According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Obdulia Sanchez was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting around 7 p.m.

The shooting also injured a second victim, who was taken to an area hospital. No suspects have been arrested, but anyone with information is encouraged to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 209-468-4400.
In 2017, Sanchez was driving through Los Banos with her 14-year-old sister when the car veered off the road and flipped, ejecting her sister and her sister’s friend.
The incident — and her sister’s body– was captured on a livestream.
Sanchez was later sentenced to six years in prison for gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI, and child endangerment. However, she ultimately would serve less than half of that before being released on parole.
She was arrested again in 2019 after leading officers on a high-speed chase and being found with a loaded gun.
