‘Let’s Get Loud’? Jennifer Lopez earns mixed reactions with patriotic mashup at Biden inauguration

Jennifer Lopez made a big impression with her performance at Wednesday’s inauguration of President Joe Biden.

Shortly after Lady Gaga’s captivating rendition of the national anthem, the singer took the podium outside the U.S. Capitol to sing a moving version of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land.” A minute and a half into the song, she switched to “America the Beautiful” before speaking a line of the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish and belting out a part of her own hit “Let’s Get Loud” from her 1999 debut album “On the 6.”

The “Hustlers” star wore an all-white Chanel outfit, including a ruffled blouse, pants and long tweed coat.

Lopez, whose parents are from Puerto Rico, earned praise from some Twitter users who found her decision to incorporate Spanish into the performance emotional.
