Indian company ready to invest €20 mln in Armenia biodiesel plant

PanARMENIAN.Net – An Indian company is ready to invest about 20 million euros in the construction of a biodiesel production plant in Armenia, Andranik Aleksanyan, the director of the Yerevan Chamber of Commerce said Wednesday, September 28, ARKA reports.
“If an agreement is reached, the project will be implemented as soon as possible,” he said.
Also Wednesday, a delegation from India’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce that is visiting Armenia September 28-30 signed an agreement with the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Armenia to deepen cooperation.
The delegation consists of heads of 11 Indian companies representing such sectors as agriculture, food processing, construction and hotel business.
“According to preliminary discussions, they are ready to make major investments in Armenia. Our country is interesting for Indian businesses as a country which is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union”, Aleksanyan said.
