Heavy rain expected in Southern California, snow up north as atmospheric river moves in
An atmospheric river is expected to bring heavy rain to Southern California and snowfall to the Sierra Nevadas.
A week of heavy precipitation across the state is expected to begin on Nov. 13, according to the National Weather Service.
The long-range forecast shows heavy rain staying mostly along the coast as it moves eastward across the state and into Arizona and Nevada.
More information about the weather pattern will be available over the next few days, weather experts stated.
Meanwhile, high temperatures through Nov. 13 in the Victor Valley will range from 74 to 79 degrees. Highs in Barstow will continue in the 70s and 80s.
Big Bear Lake and Wrightwood should see highs in the 60s, while most of the Inland Empire basks in the 80s.
This year, Veterans Day falls on Nov. 11, while Thanksgiving Day is Nov. 27.
