Florida Math Teacher Arrested After Student’s Parents Tracked His Location to Her Home
The arrest of a Florida high school mathematics teacher who allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a student became known following investigations by the parent whose son was missing in an unknown place. The case against Kirsten Rose, 37, of Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School, was announced by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office for several criminal violations.
It all happened back in March, when the student’s parents became worried about him coming home late from work and being unable to explain where he had been. After checking his location, they found that he was somewhere he did not usually go. While first telling police officers that he spent the night with a girlfriend, the boy eventually admitted that he was dating his teacher.
Police detectives found that the defendant and the student had been exchanging messages on Instagram since November 2025. According to police reports, the relationship became sexually explicit in February and continued until March.
Currently, the suspect is in jail at the Brevard County Jail awaiting trial without bail. She is charged with five charges of sexual assault on minors, plus lewd and indecent exposure involving a student and an authority figure.
Further investigation is ongoing. Police encourage anyone with further information to contact the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit.
