Arctic air shatters temperature records across B.C. – BC News

A blast of arctic air hanging over B.C. sent temperature records tumbling on Wednesday.
Thirty-two records were broken, with another two tied, including several in the Thompson-Okanagan.
More records are expected to fall on Thursday, like in Kelowna, where one has already been broken.
Environment Canada says temperatures dipped to -29 this morning, well below the previous record of -25 set in 1983.
“That speaks to how deep the arctic air really is, and how much it’s seeped in, because it’s all across Western Canada,” said Terri Lang, meteorologist.
The full data on Thursday’s broken temperature records across B.C. will be released Friday morning
